Connect sellers and buyers in a UK B2B scrap-metal marketplace, with a dependable experience on iOS and Android.

My contribution

I joined as the sole iOS developer in May 2025 and expanded to end-to-end ownership of both iOS and Android in May 2026. I own architecture, API integration, feature delivery, testing and releases. For the iOS Explore feed, I fixed refresh requests being skipped during loading and prevented stale responses from replacing fresh data. I also coordinated detail dismissal and create-listing navigation through the dashboard.

Outcome

Fresh Explore results remain intact when requests finish out of order. The simulator build and eight Explore tests passed, including refresh regression tests.

My contribution

Collaborated with Mindvalley’s iOS engineering team on the NextGen redesign, using Xcode Instruments to investigate performance bottlenecks, implementing Typesense Search, migrating the Meditation and Programs tabs from UIKit to SwiftUI, and integrating EveAI. Also contributed to Today-tab improvements and personalised recommendations.

Outcome

Reduced Meditation Tab loading time by 50%, contributing to a faster and more intuitive learning experience in Mindvalley’s award-winning NextGen app.

Build a native iOS gifting and wish-list app for the United States market, enabling users to create and share gift lists.

My contribution

Independently built Giftlist from scratch using Objective-C, coordinating designers, web developers and backend developers to bring the product to launch. Continued working with the original client through periodic engagements after launch, delivering feature updates, bug fixes and maintenance for the production app.

Outcome

Launched a native iOS product that achieved a historical rating of 4.3 stars with 10K+ downloads. Supported the app over multiple years following launch, until the client transitioned to a Flutter-based rebuild in 2026.

From building Giftlist from scratch to contributing to Mindvalley’s award-winning NextGen app and now leading iOS and Android development as the sole mobile developer at ScrapBays, a UK-based B2B metal marketplace with 5,000+ Android downloads, I bring 13+ years of mobile development experience focused not just on building applications, but on delivering measurable product impact.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked across consumer, e-learning, marketplace, fintech, airline and enterprise applications, turning product requirements into reliable, scalable mobile experiences for international audiences.

My work includes building and maintaining production applications, designing mobile architectures, integrating APIs, and optimising performance — including reducing app load times by 50%.
